Goodwill App Service Project

I joined a service project to work on an app meant for the local Goodwill workers to use for social work purposes. When I joined, the app architecture was set up, but the backend was not being queried by the frontend at all. So, my team and I connected the backend to the frontend as well as adding new functional components, such as a map component.

I built a full-stack Flask web application that returns YouTube search results from user input. To do this, I scraped the YouTube Data JSON API for search results using Python, designed a custom front-end with Bootstrap and custom CSS, and implemented a SQLAlchemy database that saves user search history.

El Campito Website Overhaul

As a CS4Good Team Leader, I developed and supervised the overhaul of an outdated website for El Campito, a nonprofit organization that aids migrant families in coping with struggles of starting a new life in South Bend. To better assist the client, I corresponded with El Campito to determine the most optimal course of action to accomplish this overhaul. By the end of the project, my team an I had created a modern, easy-to-manage, Spanish-accessible website utilizing Wix because El Campito did not plan to hire a IT specialist at the time.

B-Cubed Cool Math Games Solver

Ever had trouble figuring out how to solve some of the tricky levels in the popular game B-Cubed from Cool Math Games? Well, my friends and I created a program that, given a level input file, reads in the board, finds a path that uses all blocks if possible, and displays the final solution!
